Flyers Streak Hits 9

The streak continues, the winless streak that is.  Last night plenty mental mistakes contributed to the 3-1 loss to the San Jose Sharks. In their last nine games the Flyers are 0-8-1 and falling out of the race fast.  As a matter of fact they have fallen to 10th in the Eastern Conference and last in the Atlantic Division. And to make matters worse, Simon Gagne says he’s definitely out for the regular season, most likely out for the playoffs but optimistic he can resume his career next season.Gagne confirmed on Thursday night that he will sit out the rest of the last six weeks of the season due to ongoing concussion symptoms.

Last night the Flyers failed to generate a power play, a first for the season and one which definitely goes down as the ultimate sign of ineffectiveness.

Tomorrow the Flyguys host the Florida Panthers and look to turn things around.  They then hit the road for one game in Buffalo against the surging Sabres.  Thursday I will be in attendance for their home game against the Ottawa Senators from the luxury box bitches.
