The Philadelphia 76ers center Samuel Dalembert has filed a lawsuit claiming breach of contract and fraud against a group of business partners regarding an investment in the licensing of “Speed Racer” products and merchandise.
The NBA star invested more than a million doll-hairs into a project that licensed “Speed Racer” memorabilia and merchandise back in 2006. According to the lawsuit, Dalembert claims his partners didn’t actually have the rights to “Speed Racer” in the first place.
Dalembert is trying to re-coup more than $50,000.
