Bring BOLDIN Aboard!

In a Pacman Jones-like turn of events, Arizona Cardinals’ star wide receiver Anquan ‘the Phenomenon’ Boldin is reportedly seeking a trade from the team after contract negotiations have seemed to sour.

Boldin’s agent Drew Rosenhaus (yes, the infamous Drew Rosenhaus) had already asked for a new contract shortly after fellow wide out Larry Fitzgerald signed a four-year, $40 million deal last spring.  By the time training camp opened, however, Boldin still had no contract and blamed the Cardinal brass for not making good on promises of restructuring a contract extension he signed three years ago.

Under his current contract, Boldin is making $4 million a year, while Fitzgerald is making $10 million (BALLER).   Boldin was reportedly seeking a contract equal to or more than that of Fitzgerald’s.

Boldin and Rosenhaus have made it clear that he no longer wants a new contract.  He wants to leave the team.

Last time I checked we have a plethora of cornerbacks and Arizona could use a few good ones.  Here is our golden opportunity to package Lito and a pick for a TOP NOTCH WIDEOUT.  Boldin would be a FORCE to be reckoned with in our offense and with McNabb throwing bullets to him.  Donovan with Boldin and Kevin Curtis lined up wide.  B West behind him and Reggie Brown and LJ Smith in the slots.  I LIKE IT, A LOT!

i don’t think arizona needs CBs. They drafted one and acquired rod hood (who is up to no good).

however, we do have an extra first round raft pick, given we can lock him up for a few years.

  3. Well Rod Hood and Antrelle Rolle are still a little suspect.

Just saying, Anquan is out of ARI in 2010. The Cards are either going to get something for him or they aren’t going to get shit. They might want to look into their options. It would be a shame to see a guy of Quans caliber walk out the door with nothing to show for it.

I think they moved Rolle to safety. The Eagles can offer up Lito, or a package of picks, they’ve got the ammo. I’m joining the Anquan movement as well at Hell, I would join the Joe Horn movement at this point (nope, that’s a lie).

  5. Rolle has yet to be impressive. Average at best.

I think a first round pick is justifiable for Anquan. Yes hes an incredible talent, but you have to figure its something or nothing, because he is most definitely leaving town in 2010.

  6. That’s true, getting Boldin never even crossed my mind. Philadelphia almost has what it takes to make a superbowl run, just missing an elite wide receiver. I wouldn’t want to part with Sheppard though.
