76ers Solidify Future

YOUR Philadelphia 76ers picked up the third-year options on the contracts of PF Jason Smith and swingman Thad Young on Monday.

Young who was the 12th overall pick in the 2007 draft, averaged 8.2 points and 4.2 rebounds in 74 games last season in a breakout year for the young fella.

Smith averaged 4.5 points in 76 games last season, but is expected to miss all of this season with a torn ACL.  He was a real bright spot off the bench for the Sixers and played solid D and always brought high energy.  We wish you a quick recovery and rehab Jason.
