Anderson Benched, Quinn Gets the Nod

Pro Bowl Quarterabck Derek Anderson was benched on Monday by the Browns, who will start popular backup Brady Quinn on Thursday night against the Denver Broncos in hopes of turning around a disappointing season.

The surprising and unexpected swap was announced Monday by the team, just hours after coach Romeo Crennel said he had no plans to make a change.

  1. The Browns should have never given Anderson that contract if he was given this short of a leash. Knowing you had a 1st round draft pick as backup and future face of the franchise, why sign him to 3 years 24 million?

  2. Who knows, that franchise is a mess. Infections in the locker room, QB controversy.
