Kansas City Chiefs head coach Herman Edwards benched Larry Johnson for Sunday’s game against Tennessee for previously violating team rules. Now, the Chief’s star running back and former Penn State alum might incur additional punishment, this time from the league.
During the Chiefs’ recent bye week, Johnson was involved in a physical altercation with a woman at a Kansas City nightclub, the second such incident he has found himself in this year. Johnson apparently SPAT a drink in woman’s face at a local nightclub. The incident is consistent with a pattern of off-field behavior that most believe will lead to a suspension for Johnson under the NFL’s personal conduct policy.
Oh Larry, one good season and now your a bum, on and off the field. Get with it bro.
Former Penn State alum and current Kansas City RB Larry Johnson has been charged with simple assualt, stemming from an altercation where he allegedly pushed a woman at a Kansas City nightclub in February. This would be the third time he has faced assault charges against a woman.
LJ is due in Kansas City Municipal Court on Dec. 3, and faces a maximum jail term of six months and a $500 fine.
Listening to good old Mike and Mike in the morning on the drive today on the Schuylkill Expressway and word from ‘The Professor’ John Clayton is Tony Gonzalez is the big name out there looking to be dealt to a contender as we near the NFL Trade deadline today at 4 pm ET.
Teams interested: the New York Football Giants and yours truly, the Philadelphia Eagles.
Clayton reported a Kansas City is looking for a 3rd (or 2nd – he wasn’t sure) round pick and a 5th round pick for the All-Pro tight end. As for the Eagles, they have a disgruntled corner Lito Sheppard to offer in a package. Stay posted.
