Arenas Finds Bright Spot in Last Place

Gilbert Arenas is already thinking about the possibility of finishing in last for his Wizards and is trying to make gilbythe best of it.

Arenas is still working his way back from a third knee operation in 1½ years while the Wizards are off to a 1-8 start.

I don’t want to see them struggle, but if this is one of those years where we don’t make the playoffs or we finish in last place … that’s what happened to San Antonio and that’s how they got Tim Duncan and look at them now … and that’s for the better.

Spurs Hack a Shaq 5 Seconds into Season

Suns center Shaquille O’Neal took offense with Spurs coach Gregg Popovich’s liberal use of the Hack-a-Shaq strategy during the first round of the playoffs last year, calling it “a coward move” this offseason.

G Pop thought it would be funny to mess with the Big Cactus and start the shenanigans bright and early.  All in good fun of course.

USA vs. Argentina FRIDAY at 12:15 (not sure AM PM ET or CHINA-TIME)

The United States will play defending champion Argentina on Friday night for a spot in Sunday’s gold medal game.  Argentina beat Greece 80-78 in the last semifinal. Argentina was led by San Antonio Spur Manu Ginobili who ended the game with 24 points.

Argentina is loaded with quality NBA talent with the likes of Manu, Carlos Delfino, Andres Nocioni, Fabricio Oberto and Luis Scola.  This team has size, quickness, shooting, and the experience of playing together for years.  This will be a good game and good prove to be a challenge for the Redeem Team.

PHA, yea right.  We aren’t losing.  See you in the Gold Medal Game.
